Microsoft releases a new open source project that bridges PHP and .NET

Microsoft’s Developer and Platform Evangelism Interoperability team released a new open source project that bridges PHP and .NET framework using REST.

The PHP Toolkit for ADO.NET Data Services makes it easier for PHP developers to take advantage of the ADO.NET Data Services, a set of features recently added to the .NET Framework. ADO.NET Data Services offer a simple way to expose any sort of data in a RESTful way.

The project is funded by Microsoft and is developed by Persistent Systems Ltd..The technologies that are used in the project are PHP, REST, .NET Framework and ADO.NET Data Services . To learn more about the project,visit it at CodePlex.

This project would surely help the developers that need and is wanting to bridge the two applications for a long time.Nice work Microsoft. :)
